David Tran is a San José native and serves as Senior Policy Advisor on Regional and Local Transportation to the Mayor. David has worked almost a decade in public policy for the City of San José, recently serving as Legislative and Policy Lead for the Department of Transportation, staffing the department on federal, state and regional transportation policy. Prior, he served for 7.5 years as Legislative and Policy Director for District 3 Councilmember Raul Peralez, focusing on land use, transportation, and economic development in Downtown San José and its surrounding neighborhoods. David is a proud San José State University alumnus and prouder to be raising his family in his hometown.
