Stephen is part of Mayor Matt Mahan’s Neighborhood Outreach Team, overseeing Districts 4 and 7, and also processes ceremonial items. Prior to being part of Mayor Mahan’s team, he worked for Mayor Sam Liccardo and for the San José Chamber of Commerce Foundation where he worked with various stakeholders to provide career engagement opportunities for students from the East Side Union High School District. He also has experience as a volunteer, substitute teacher, and classroom teacher in classrooms ranging from Transitional Kindergarten to 6th grade. He has a BA in Political Science and Masters in Public Administration from San José State University.
