Tasha Dean was born and raised in the Bay Area, and holds a degree in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Prior to joining the Mayor’s team, she worked for a political consulting firm where she managed electoral media campaigns from end to end – creating, producing and coordinating television, direct mail and digital advertising campaigns across channels and levels of government. She has also previously been involved in the educational sphere, where she worked for a non-profit that pioneered the creation of a program developing experts across the nation to respond effectively to the needs of children with trauma. 

Tasha has been passionate about social justice movements and people power from a young age, and is committed to pushing for a better world for working families, marginalized communities and generations to come.
